WVFD held its monthly EMS training on Sunday class was taught by Jay Hynson and William Taylor. They covered King airways diabetic emergency and strokes.
WVFD was dispatched to Kings Hwy Finchs Hill Rd. for a single vehicle accident. Eng22 arrived on scene to find one vehicle into a embankment with driver out of vehicle and denying any injuries. Capt.2 D.Jones had command of scene. Other units on scene WDES M3 and WCSO.
On Friday Nov.62015 Brush5 takes 1st place the 58th Urbanna Firemans Parade. Thanks to K.Debord and T.Bryant for cleaning and presenting the unit at the parade.

Eng51 wins Best Appearing in Service at Cople District VFDs 65th anniversary on Oct.24 2015.
Cople District VFD celebrated 65 years of service to the community today. WVFD would like to congratulate them on this anniversary and wish them many more years of continued volunteer service.
On Saturday October 17 2015 the Westmoreland County Volunteer Rescue Squad celebrated their 50th anniversary and the dedication of the Ferman E. Dixon Memorial.
MVRS requested a LZ for a medical fly out. Eng22 set up LZ behind the squad building.
The week of Oct. 4th – Oct.10th is National Fire Prevention Week. Check those smoke alarm batteries and go over with your family what to do in case a fire brakes out in the home.
WVFD and WDES M3 was dispatched to the area of the park and ride on Kings Hwy for a two vehicle accident. Units on scene Eng22 WDES M3 and WCSO.
WVFD and WDES M3 were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Horners Mill Rd. One person was entrapped and extrication had to be done. Units on scene Eng22 Response2 WDES M3 OGVFD Eng4 and WCSO.
WVFD and WCVRS were dispatched to an overturned vehicle on Mt.Holly Rd. E51 arrived on scene to find a small pickup overturned in a cut corn field with the driver located in a back seat of a passing car. Vehicle checked for leaks and patient care was started. WCVRS Medic arrived on scene and care was transferred over to them. Units on scene Eng51 Eng22 Response2 WCVRS 20 and WCSO.
ENG Co.4 ENG Co.1 ENG Co.2 CBVRS WDES M1 WDES M3 and WDES M2 were dispatched to a multi vehicle accident involving a logging truck and several passenger vehicles. First arriving units reported Kings Hwy closed with a tractor trailer on its side and its load of logs in the road with several vehicles involved. Kings Hwy was shut down for approximately 6 hours. No major injuries were reported.
Westmoreland VFD would like to introduce its newest member. George David Jones III Tripp born to Lt.David Jones and Alex Jones. Born Sept. 18 2015 weighing in 8lbs3oz and 21inches long. Congratulations to David and Alex.
